Hi, I'm Talisa and I am passionate about supporting women in becoming the best versions of themselves. I know first-hand how difficult it can be to find the time and motivation to focus on fitness and personal goals, especially when life gets busy. As a full-time working, single mom, I’ve faced these challenges too. Sometimes, we just need that little bit of encouragement to remind ourselves that we are capable of achieving everything we desire.
As a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT) and a Personal Trainer (PT), I offer both CBT sessions, and ladies-only personal training sessions and group fitness classes, with a trauma-focused approach, understanding that everyone’s journey is different. I bring both professional knowledge and personal lived experience of trauma, and I’m committed to creating a safe and supportive space for healing, growth, and empowerment.
I specialise in supporting mental health challenges, including:
I approach all my work from a culturally sensitive and inclusive perspective. I have a particular passion for empowering black and brown women, in a way that truly honours their lived experience, but my practice is open to women, and men, of all backgrounds.
Here’s a snapshot of my qualifications and experience:
My ToTaliFit journey kicked off in 2020, during the lockdown, when I decided to offer online fitness classes to help keep women’s minds and bodies active. What started as a lockdown initiative soon blossomed into ToTaliFit LTD, and here we are today!
I now offer four dynamic group fitness classes a week, including:
Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of women smash their fitness and personal well-being goals, whether that’s:
With a unique blend of lived experience, training, and dedication, I’m confident I can help you achieve the results you want, whilst ensuring you feel empowered, confident, and supported every step of the way.
Over the past 10+ years, I’ve worked across a range of settings both in and outside of the NHS, including:
I have extensive experience working with a wide variety of mental health conditions, including:
I also have significant experience supporting neurodivergent clients, tailoring my approach to their unique needs and strengths.
I’m passionate about supporting every woman in her unique journey, making fitness and mental well-being, not just a workout, but a way of life. Let’s work together to create a plan that is tailored to you—no matter where you are on your mental health and/or fitness journey. Let’s do this!
'When mommy's feeling sad...' was written as a way of introducing the issue of depression to a younger audience, with the hope of initiating a discussion around the subject, and highlighting the importance of talking about, and sharing our feelings. The stigma surrounding mental health is still very real and the best way to eradicate this, is to educate our children with openness and honesty.
